Berry and Banana Smoothie

On the 22nd of April we made Berry and Banana Smoothies  they were very healthy because we made them from scratch so we knew what was in them. The healthy ingredients we put in were berries and a banana.

Ingredients

  • 750ml of milk
  • one banana
  • Frozen berries
  • Frozen yogurt

Procedure

  • Peal the banana and break it up then put it in the blender.
  • Put three scoops of frozen yogurt in.
  • Put a handful of berries in.
  • Now put 750ml of milk in the blender.
  • Turn the blender on and when it is ready drink and enjoy.

 

 

 

Netball Clinic

On the 29th and the 30th of April a couple of grade 6 girls will be doing a Netball Clinic for grade 3.

Girls and boys will be participating in the clinic.

Girls will do it on the 29th of April and boys will do it on the 30th of April.

We will be doing a lot of different netball skills followed by a short game during lunch time.

Some of the drills will be passes,footwork,shooting and defending.

Banana and Berry Smoothie

Recipe
1 banana
1/2 cup of berries
3 scoops of yogurt
750 ml of milk

Method

 First we put the banana and berries in the blender.

Secondly we put the yoghurt and the milk in the blender and blended it.
Thirdly we poured the mixture in the cup and drank it.
We can make the smoothie better by blending it more and more yogurt.

Grade 4/5 Basketball Clinic

G’day

On Wednesday the 1st of may we are holding a basketball clinic for all the grade five and four kids who are interested.

We are going to be teaching some basic skills and we might be playing a game at the end if enough people come.

If you are interested go to the LINC at the second bell at lunch on the 1st of Wednesday.

 

We will be doing:

Dribbling

Shooting

Ball Handling .

Jeb, Maity, Marcus, Deklan and Tyerell.

 

Orange & Sultana Cakes

Hello Everybody! ^_^

On the 22nd of April the people in the Being Active Group made Orange & Saltana Cakes. It was a tonne of fun stirring the mixture until it smelt delicious. When we finished cooking the cakes they turned out very nice and they tasted awesome.

INGREDIENTS

125g butter (softned)

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon finely grated orange rind

2 eggs

1/2 of wholemeal self raising flower

3/4 cups of orange

1/2 cup of saltanas

METHOD

Step 1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celcius fan-forced. Line two 24-hole, 1/2 tablespoon capacity mini muffin paps with paper cases.

Step 2. Using an electric mixer, beat batter, sugar, and orange rind unitl light and fluffy.  Add eggs, l at a time, beating until just combind. Stir

Step 3. Bake for 22 to 24 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre of 1 comes out clean. Stand in pan for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire pack to cool.

Basketball Clinic

Over the past 2 weeks we have been running a basketball  clinic for the grade 1 and 2 students. This week  we are teaching the grade 3’s. We have been teaching the kids some skills and games. It has been successful so and we are hoping all kids have had fun in the last 2 weeks. We’d like to thank all the kids that came thank you.

Welcome Back to being active 2013

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Being Active 2013. We are going  to show a lot of things from wacky sports, kids being active even showing recipes of making healthy food and exercising or being healthy apps. If you are in Leopold we thought of lots of activities this year. We have got clinics for younger students and older students. The LINC will be shut down at lunch times unless, we think of clinics to do instead of mucking around.so some of the grade 6’s in the being active group have thought of some activities to do. We have a couple of teachers VS students sports throughout the year.

kite Surfing

hello fellow citizens of the world

kite surfing is a kite with a long wire then attached to an handle and you have a surf board attached to your feet you hold onto the handle so every time you hit a wave you will glide in the air. The kite  will make you lose gravity so you can stay in the air as long and as high as you want. people play this sport because they can do cool tricks.
